A Ripper of a Mystery Where the Only Thing More Bitter Than the Beer is the Revenge!
The story
Bazza Barnaby was the most hated 'loved' man in Australia. During the final toast of the Golden Boomerang Awards, the lights flickered out for thirty seconds. When they returned, Bazza was missing, only to be found minutes later in the catering tent, expired in the dip. The resort is currently surrounded by a freak emu migration, making escape impossible. The suspects must investigate each other while avoiding the aggressive local wildlife.
Setting: The Didgeridoo-n't Luxury Eco-Resort, a remote oasis in the Northern Territory, featuring a high-end ballroom, a saltwater croc-filled moat, and a very poorly labeled buffet.

- Kylie Koala-Kisser, The Fake Influencer: To her millions of followers, Kylie is the 'Queen of the Bush.' To you, she's the girl who spent four hours trying to find a WiFi signal in the desert. You…
- Sir Reginald Posh-Whittle, The Pretender Expat: Sir Reginald is the local authority on 'proper' behavior. You see him as an eccentric billionaire who is trying to buy his way into Australian history, though…
- Dr. Wallaby Wentworth, The Paranoid Scientist: The scientific community calls her 'misguided,' but she calls herself 'the only one looking up.' You see her as a brilliant mind who spent too much time in…
- Bruce Backswing, The Failed Stuntman: Bruce is the guy you hire when you want a stunt to go wrong in a funny way. You see him as a resilient, if somewhat dim-witted, entertainer who just can't…
- Wanda Wattle, The Bush Witch: Wanda is the resort’s resident healer. You see her as a harmless hippie who sells overpriced rocks, but there’s an intensity in her eyes when she talks about…

Questions
Is 'Murder at the G'Day Gala' suitable for beginners looking for an immersive murder mystery game?
Absolutely. As one of the best murder mystery games for adults who love comedy, the roles—ranging from wildlife influencers to disgraced boomerang stars—are distinct and highly entertaining. This immersive murder mystery game provides clear prompts and motives, making it easy for first-time players to jump into character and start accusing their friends.
Do I need elaborate props or a crocodile moat to host this murder mystery dinner party game?
Not at all! While the setting features a saltwater croc-filled moat, this murder mystery party kit is designed for easy hosting in any home or venue. Simple touches like eucalyptus scents, a cricket bat for Sir Reginald, or some 'Vegemite' notes can easily transform your space into a ripper of a mystery dinner party without needing a resort-sized budget.
What kind of atmosphere can I expect from the 'Murder at the G'Day Gala' murder mystery party theme?
This adult murder mystery party offers a hilarious 'Outback-meets-Opulence' vibe. Set at the Didgeridoo-n't Luxury Eco-Resort, it is a comedy-focused murder mystery game kit where high-end ballroom glamour meets quirky Australian tropes, including Drop Bear conspiracies and very questionable buffet choices.
How does the comedy tone impact the gameplay of this murder mystery dinner party?
The comedic tone makes it a lighthearted alternative to darker murder mystery themes. With red herrings involving kookaburras and threatening notes written in Vegemite, it is a murder mystery dinner party that prioritizes laughs and fun interactions over grim detective work, making it ideal for a birthday or a casual social gathering.
What makes this the best murder mystery game for an intimate group of 6 adults?
This adult murder mystery game is perfectly balanced for a 6-player cast, ensuring every suspect—from Dazza Donahue to Dr. Wallaby Wentworth—has deep motives and unique clues. Unlike larger murder mystery themes where players might get lost in the crowd, this murder game ensures every guest is a vital part of the investigation and the comedy. Like all host-party murder mystery games this can be extended to fit parties of 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12... Up to 20.
How many people can play?
6 to 14 players. The 6 main characters are included for $29.95; add up to 8 more at $7.00 each ($43.95 for 8, $71.95 for 12, $85.95 for 14).
Can a large group play?
Yes. In large group mode some guests play the characters and everyone else joins detective teams, up to 200 people. Large group mode comes with a Non-profit or Business license.
Do I need to print anything?
No. Guests get their characters and clues on their phones, and the host runs each round, the accusations and the reveal from the Game Room, with narrator audio and a TV mode. A printable kit is included if you prefer paper.
How long does the game take?
About 2.5 hours, played over several rounds, usually alongside dinner or drinks.
How soon can I start?
Straight away. The game appears in My Games right after checkout, where you can send invitations and assign characters.
