Where big hair meets big secrets and the rhythm is deadly.
The story
The year is 1986, and the neon lights of Miami’s hottest nightclub, The Electric Flamingo, are flickering. Bobby 'The Beat' Barone, a legendary but ruthless music producer, has been found dead in his private office just as the midnight floor show was beginning. Between the synthesizers and the hairspray, everyone in the VIP lounge has a reason to want Bobby out of the picture. From washed-up rockers to tech-savvy keyboardists, the suspects are as vibrant as their outfits. As the investigation unfolds, players must navigate a maze of secret contracts, failed dreams, and high-stakes debts to discover who finally stopped Bobby's beat for good.
Setting: The Electric Flamingo, a premier neon-soaked nightclub in Miami, 1986.
Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 host.

Questions
How much roleplay is required for the characters in this adult murder mystery game?
Whether your guests are playing keyboard genius Dexter Digital or the pop star Roxanne Rhythms, this murder mystery game encourages as much or as little acting as they like. Each character has a distinct public profile and sordid details, allowing players to lean into 80s tropes or dive deep into the thriller aspect. It’s one of those immersive murder mystery games where the motives—like reclaiming stolen software or escaping a predatory contract—are so clear that the roleplay feels natural and exciting for every guest.
What kind of atmosphere can I expect for my Neon Nightmares: A Totally Tubular Murder event?
This murder mystery party theme transports your guests straight to 1986 Miami, specifically The Electric Flamingo nightclub. It’s an immersive experience where big hair meets big secrets. Is this murder mystery party kit easy to host for a first-timer at home?
Absolutely! Neon Nightmares is designed to be a totally tubular experience for any host murder mystery party novice. The kit provides everything you need to run the show at The Electric Flamingo without needing professional props—though a few neon glow sticks and a silk skinny tie, like the one Vanessa Velour used, certainly help the mood. As a murder mystery dinner party game, it’s streamlined for exactly 6 players, making it manageable while still delivering the complexity of a professional mystery dinner party.
How many people can play?
