Sparklers, Secrets, and a Shocking Finale!
The story
During the Liberty Cove Centennial Gala, the Mayor is killed when a high-voltage pyrotechnic wiring error causes a massive metal chandelier to plummet from the manor's glass ceiling. The gala was supposed to be a spectacle of light, but the 'independence spark' turned into a death trap when the safety cables were electro-magnetically severed, causing the chandelier to drop directly onto the Mayor's podium. Baron Buckley used the high-energy surge required for the fireworks finale to create an artificial ground fault, effectively 'cooking' the electromagnetic release mechanism that held the chandelier, turning the Mayor's celebratory moment into a lethal, light-filled execution.
