Old Money, New Blood: Who Silenced the Lord of the Manor?

The story

Lord Harrison Halloway was discovered slumped over his desk shortly after midnight. The door to his study was bolted from the inside, but a window was found slightly ajar. A decanter of rare sherry sat on his desk, containing traces of a lethal digitalis extract. Each guest had a reason to see the old man dead—from a disinherited nephew to a physician with a dark secret—and as the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that the killer is still among them.

Setting: Halloway Manor, a sprawling and eerie estate in the English countryside, characterized by wood-paneled libraries, secret corridors, and a pervasive sense of aristocratic decay.
