Murder Mystery Games for Large Groups

Murder mystery games for large groups of up to 200. A small cast plays the suspects while everyone else investigates in teams on their phones.

A few suspects, a room full of detectives

A big group can't all play a character, so large group mode splits the room. A cast of 6 to 14 people plays the suspects, and everyone else becomes a detective, working alone or in a team on their phone. Up to 200 detectives can play. It suits family reunions, fundraisers, school events, conferences and any party too big for one table. Every game on this page can run this way.

Murder Mystery Games for Large Groups: The Games

How a Large Group Murder Mystery Works

Running the event

  1. Cast your suspects. Choose 6 to 14 volunteers. Each one gets everything they need to play, and no acting experience is required.
  2. Send one join link. Guests open it in their phone browser, join as detectives and form teams. Nobody has to download anything.
  3. Run the rounds on the big screen. The host controls rounds, clues and narrator audio from the Game Room on a laptop or TV.
  4. Reveal the killer. Each detective or team makes one accusation, then the host plays the reveal for the whole room.

Choosing a game for a crowd

Big, easy-to-picture settings help a room get into it and make the dress code simple. Try Studio 54 for a disco night, Murder on the Red Carpet for an awards-night party, or Murder on the High Seas for a cruise-themed party.
