Start a murder mystery supper club

Dinner with friends and a mystery at every table: monthly, every season, once a year or whenever you like. Host-Party finds a date that works, takes turns choosing the host, helps pick the game and keeps everyone in the loop. It's free, and members don't need an account.

Pick dates together

Send a date poll; everyone answers from a link. The club calendar puts every dinner in each member's own calendar.

Rotate the host

Take turns in order, share it fairly, ask for volunteers, or keep one host. Host-Party suggests who hosts next.

Vote on the next game

Choose any Host-Party game, or let members vote. The club sees which games it has already played, so every dinner is a new mystery.

Invitations and reminders

Invitations, reminders and the follow-up after dinner go out for you, so the host can focus on the food and the story.

Members join from a link

Share one join link. Members can answer polls and RSVP without an account, and sign up when they want to host.

Free with a Personal license

Supper clubs cost nothing. Each dinner uses a game someone in the club owns, and a Personal license covers a private dinner.

How it works

  1. Start your club and give it a name.
  2. Share the join link with your friends.
  3. Send a date poll and pick the night that works.
  4. Choose the host and the game, or let the club vote.
  5. Host-Party sends the invitations and reminders; the host runs the game on the night.

Questions

What is a murder mystery supper club?

A group of friends who meet regularly for dinner and a murder mystery game, taking turns as host. Each dinner is a new mystery.

What does it cost?

Running a club on Host-Party is free. The host of each dinner uses a game they own (or one bought for the club); a Personal license is enough.

Do members need an account?

No. Members answer date polls and RSVP from a link. They only need an account to host a dinner or buy a game.

How is the host chosen?

Your choice: in order, fairly shared, by volunteers, or always the same person. Host-Party suggests the next host each time.

Our group is bigger than 14. Can we still play?

Yes. For bigger groups, see the Event Edition: a few people play the suspects and everyone else investigates in teams, for 15–200 guests.
